23rd World Hydrogen Energy Conference · Istanbul, 26 to 30 June 2022

WHEC2020World Hydrogen Energy Conference

Programme

Workshops

Smaller formats for partnership, training and the exchange of practical experience.

WHEC 2022

Why workshops

A conference programme can be too large for a detailed working conversation. The workshop strand created smaller rooms for research groups, companies and agencies to explain what they are doing and to look for partners. The format favoured short talks, direct questions and time between sessions.

The 2022 programme used workshops and specialised sessions to cover partnership and networking on fuel cells and hydrogen energy, a tutorial on an open source modelling platform, and dedicated sessions for country and company presentations.

Workshop strands

Partnership and networking

Two workshops brought academic, industrial and public sector participants together to introduce their groups, projects, products and partnership needs.

Networking events

Country and company sessions

Representatives presented national programmes and company technologies in a format that allowed comparison and questions.

Specialised sessions

Training

The tutorial introduced a virtual platform for fuel cell system design, with a worked example and guidance on using the library.

Tutorial session

Panels

Two panel discussions examined hydrogen and sustainable development, and the challenges and opportunities for Turkey.
