A community built around a shared goal
The International Association for Hydrogen Energy works to advance hydrogen as a clean energy carrier. It supports the exchange of research through publications, workshops, short courses and international conferences, and it explains the role of hydrogen to a wider public.
The association publishes the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and organises the biennial World Hydrogen Energy Conference with its exhibition. Conference proceedings have been published in the Hydrogen Progress series.
Divisions
The association's divisions give specialist communities a home within the larger organisation. They include biohydrogen, codes and standards, hydrogen energy systems, hydrogen safety, hydrogen storage, nuclear hydrogen, young scientists and student chapters.
These divisions also create the bridge between a conference paper and the longer work of standards, training and collaboration. Their meetings and activities are part of the wider programme around WHEC.

WHEC and the association
The 23rd edition continued the association's conference tradition. It brought the research agenda together with the Turkish host community and gave the association's divisions and partners a place to meet during the week.
